Zach Fox – IHY2LN + Marinate

So here we are: I have only have two singles to show you guys this week, and they are both by the Rap-prodigy Zach Fox. While he may present himself as an enormous joke (and he does actually have some of the funniest bars in the game right now), I think there is a lot to genuinely admire about his flow and beat selection that goes beyond parody, an unironic love of his style. The slappers he finds himself rapping over are some real heat, with the two tracks he’s presenting this week having even this West-Coast kind of bump to them that Zach rides over with surprising aptitude. As his “rap career” grows longer, the line between joke and reality blurs even more, but the man has legit talent for rapping and constructing hilarious bars, and with this kind of production behind him I think he can actually get some recognition for those talents.
