OCTOBER 2019

Welcome to the Monthly post, where I lay out everything you may have missed over the past 30 or so days, give you a little state of the union, then lay out where we’re going in the future.

Well October was quite the wild ride wasn’t it? It started slow, but then dumped a metric shitton of quality music on us right there at the end. Long awaited returns and quality collaborations made up the majority of the month.

This was also the first full month of scheduled content since I made the website, and I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t difficult. The listening, writing, and posting of my Weeklys, Playlists, and Write-Ups take a lot of time to get straight, but so far it’s soooo worth it hearing from some of y’all about some new shit you picked up from reading my shit. This has been one of the most creatively fulfilling things I’ve done, so you bet I’m going to keep it up.

I would like to encourage everyone to subscribe to the various forms of social media I have, whether that’s pressing “follow” on my Facebook page, following me on Twitter and clicking the bell to make sure you get the notifications, or using this RSS thing I’ve got down at the bottom of my pages (not 100% how it works, but I’ve heard it at least works). I have a schedule written out that displays on my pages, and is attached to my social media so reference that to know when things are coming and to stay up to date.

It’s also seeming like the Podcast is slowing down significantly, so don’t expect episodes every week like we did in the beginning. Like the schedule says, there’s no schedule for the Podcast, but it’ll come out when it needs to.

Here’s what we got looking forward, and I’ll keep it simple: more music, and end of the year lists. I haven’t decided how I’m doing my top albums of the year yet; last year I posted an album a week for five weeks making up a top five, but I don’t think I’ll be doing that specifically this year. Just know that it starts in December, looking back all the way to the previous December. There’s also the matter of a bigger list, and that’s my top albums of the DECADE, 2010-2019. Starting at the top of 2020 I hope to have a list for you, so stay tuned for that.

I would like to end this month with the sincerest of thank yous to everyone out there who reads the stuff I post here. It’s been awesome to see the stuff I write being read around the world. For all of you regulars, I appreciate you! I won’t ask you to share the website (… but that would be great too ;) ), but use what you get here; spread these albums around so that other people can get some new music too. For all of you around the world: so many States here in America (California, my Oklahoma peeps, Virginia, New York, Rhode Island, Texas, Pennsylvania, and all y’all), Ireland, Switzerland, New Zealand, Russia, Israel, etc etc etc. I appreciate all of you! Lets keep this hip-hop shit going.
